History |
| Our utility group has
an extensive service history. American Contracting
has offered quality construction of water
and wastewater treatment plants for over 50 years and is ranked
among the top contractors in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Capitol
Engineering has specialized in the design of water and wastewater
facilities for over 20 years, and
AUS has been providing services to municipal and private water and
wastewater utilities for over 30 years.

| Chestnut
Hills Water Treatment
This 6 million gallon per day plant designed by Capitol Engineering includes
an iron and magnesium removal plant process with on site backwash
treatment disposal, pre and post -chlorination and a
polyphosphate feed system. |

Wymberly Woods WWTP
This plant built by American Contracting has a capacity of
200,000 GPD expandable to 400,000 GPD. Features include flow
equalization, sludge treatment, and UV disinfection. |

Caesars Riverboat
Casino WWTP
This is an 187,000 gallon per day wastewater treatment plant.
It features flow equalization, extended aeration, oxidation
ditch, clarifiers and UV disinfection. It also was built with
effluent lift station. |

Midwest WWTP
This wastewater treatment plant designed by Capitol Engineering
was expanded from 1.4 MGD day to 2.8 MGD. Features include
new 70' clarifiers, UV disinfection, belt filter press, labs,
and control building. |

Aboite WWTP
This sewage treatment plant designed by Capitol Engineering
was expanded from 1.25 MGD to 3.2 MGD. Project included renovation
of existing aeration basins, new head works, additional tertiary
clarifier, and a belt filter press. |

Salem WWTP
This sewage treatment plant, designed by Capitol Engineering,
was expanded from .9 MGD to 1.6 MGD. This project features
flow equalization, existing tank converted to aeration basin,
new clarifiers, post aeration, and UV disinfection. |
